VERÃO CLÁSSICO Festival 2019

VERÃO CLÁSSICO Festival 2019 will present daily concerts, between the 28th of July and the 6th of August 2018, at Lisbon’s Centro Cultural de Belém, including works from 18th to 20th centuries. There will be four MasterFest concerts, with the presence of world renowned musicians, and six TalentFest concerts, in which will play VERÃO CLÁSSICO Masterclasses young participants, national and international prize winners.

In the 2019 edition, VERÃO CLÁSSICO Festival will present again outstanding artists such as pianists Eldar Nebolsin and Katya Apekisheva, soprano Anna Samuil, violinists Mihaela Martin, Corey Cerovsek and Jack Liebeck, violists Tatjana Masurenko and Veronika Hagen, cellists Gary Hoffman, Adrian Brendel and Kyril Zlotnikov, double bassist Janne Saksala, oboist Nicholas Daniel, clarinetist Pascal Moraguès and the Festival's artistic director, pianist Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro.

In 2019, VERÃO CLÁSSICO continues to present a cross-disciplinary field exploring the relations between Music and Science, in order to establish innovative symbioses and stimulate the capacities of reflection and critical thinking, aiming to the enrichment of the participants and of the audience. In this context, scientist Brian Foster - Professor of Experimental Physics of University of Oxford, Professor at the University of Hamburg and leading scientist at DESY, Fellow of the Royal Society – will present the lecture “Einstein’s Universe”.
